The brief for this project was to modernise this early-20th century property and also adapt it for multi-generational living. Creating additional bedrooms, welcoming and versatile open-plan living spaces suitable for all ages.
The design of the property is to create harmonious additions at the front, closely matching the scale and character of the existing property. At the rear, more modern interpretations of the property are created, utilising sympathetic brown-brick and intricate detailing.
Internal spaces are light-filled and adaptable, to meet the changing needs of the family. For example, the large open plan flowing kitchen/diner/living-room which serves social occasions, can be closed off to create more intimate cosy areas for evenings in front of the telly.
