about

process

Common Practice is an architecture studio working across the Northwest, creating thoughtful, low-carbon buildings rooted in community and place.

Our work begins with listening. We take time to understand the people, the site, its wider context — social, environmental, historic and cultural — firmly believing good architecture grows from these places.
We work with homeowners, self-builders, businesses and community groups on projects of varying scale, approaching each with care, curiosity and rigour.

Collaboration is central to our process, and we value open dialogue at every stage.
As a small, independent practice, we offer a personal and conscientious service, balancing ambition with practicality to deliver architecture that is grounded, purposeful and enduring.
