Extensions and alterations: Sale, Manchester
This 2-storey side extension and interior remodel in Sale, Greater Manchester uses contrasting materials, such as vertical timber weatherboarding, to highlight the new additions against the existing house.
This project recently obtaining planning approval and we are looking forward to seeing this progress on site.
Retro-fit: Hoole, Chester
Renovating and extending a mid-Century 3-bed house to become a contemporary, warm and welcoming 4-bed family home.
The design of the extensions takes inspiration from original art deco features and motifs which have been retained in the house.
All newly constructed elements are highly insulated, which coupled with the provision of air-source heat-pumps and PV panels on the roof, make for a very cosy cost-effective low-energy home.

Retrofit & Re-model: Tresaith, Cardigan
A tired 1980’s bungalow by the sea, with brown uPVC windows and terrible thermal performance. We created a light and airy cottage, with an improved internal flow all whilst making the most of the stunning views of the surrounding hills.
Before: The existing bungalow had poor insulation and felt a bit dark and dingy inside.
After: The renovated house with new exterior cladding, crittal-style windows and doors, and remodelled interiors.
Fabric-first
Fundamental to our design process is thinking about the materials we use, what embodied carbon they have, and how they are assembled to create a high-performance, low-energy building envelope.
Passivhaus principles of air-tightness, minimal cold-bridging and well-insulated thermal fabric drive our designs from the very start. Giving you energy-efficient, comfortable buildings.
